Learn how to make Hypertufa troughs, the wonderful replica of the coveted stone farm trough. In a two-day workshop at The Arts Center in Orange, class participants will create a creative garden planter to treasure for many years to come.
Introduction to Embroidery
With names like whip stitch, chain stitch, and running stitch, you would think this class is sheer torture, but it's a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics in embroidery. No kits are used in this class. You will learn how to create the elementary stitches, and the appropriate use for each. Students will create a simple composition, and be taught to use a variety of stitches to embroider their creation. Whether you want to jazz up your jeans, produce a perky pillow, stitch a sampler, or just broaden your horizons, this class holds a lot of promise for you. Couching (another stitch) potatoes welcome!

Felt a Purse or Hat
Learn the wonderful art of 3-D felting. Using wools and fibers, you will create a finished hat or purse in the course of just one workshop. It is simply wearable art therapy!

Felt a Scarf
Warm up to the coming cold weather by making your own wearable art. Create a one of a kind piece of art that you will be proud to show. Using soft wools and fibers, anyone can felt a masterpiece the very first time. Felting is a wonderful, relaxing art form that can produce a finished product in just a couple of hours.

Count Down to Christmas: Make Your Own Advent Calendar
Make this a day to create a holiday memory with your family. Parents, children and siblings, together will create their own version of a Keepsake Countdown to the holidays. The "calendar" will be made of material and will last for generations.
