SUNDAES
Celebrate Orange will hold a spaghetti supper May 29, 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church's fellowship hall. Musical entertainment by Kenwood Players. Adults $7, children 10 and under $3. Proceeds help fund fireworks for Picnic in the Park July 4th at Booster Park. Please support our efforts to continue to provide a patriotic celebration in Orange County.

BOWL FOR SENIORS
RRCSB-AAA's Bowl For Seniors will be at Mountain Run Bowling Center, Culpeper, May 30, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Organize teams of four, enjoy the afternoon and support the cause. 7th VA INFANTRY VIGIL
The Seventh Virginia Infantry Regiment, Company A, will present the 17th annual 24-hour vigil At Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, from 10 a.m. May 30 to 10 a.m. May 31. Confederate reenactors will guard the Confederate grave in half-hour shifts. Late afternoon May 30, and the morning of May 31, buried soldiers' names will be read. Closing ceremony is 10 a.m. Sunday. RIKKI'S REFUGE SPRING OPEN HOUSE
Rikki's Refuge animal sanctuary's spring open house is May 31 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments, 50/50 raffle, tours and activities. Admission is two (or more) cans of cat/dog food per person. LANDOWNERS
ASSOCIATION
Piedmont Landowners Association will meet June 1, at 7 p.m., Middle River Farm, Hood. Discussion will center on landowners' perspective of hardwood harvest, objectives, VDOF assistance, etc. The association was formed by landowners with an interest in stewardship of forest and farmland. MINE RUN IDOL
The Mine Run Idol competition will be Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. There will be three divisions: for ages eight and under, nine to 15, and 16 years and up. One winner per division plus grand prize winner. $15 entry fee. Entries must be received by June 1. Contact Nancy Biscoe, 854-4995.

YOUNG AT HEART CLUB
June 3, games and pizza. The Young at Heart Club meets every Wednesday from10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Orange Ruritan building at the intersection of Rt. 20 and 522. The club is open to anyone.

LIVING HISTORY
WEEKEND
The Civil War Museum at the Exchange Hotel, Gordonsville, will host its annual living history weekend June 6 and June 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Events to commemorate the museum's 20th anniversary are a cake walk, ice cream, crafts, and entertainment camp life, medical and military demonstrations, fried chicken, railroad tours, stories and songs. ORANGE AARP
The Orange Chapter 5373 of AARP regular monthly meeting is June 8 at 12 p.m. at the Orange County Rescue Squad building. This will be a finger food luncheon. All are invited to attend and bring a dish. The community service project for May is to bring either food or money for the food bank. AARP is open to all persons over the age of 50. The annual Orange County Health Fair will be June 18, at the OCHS Field House. The event will provide free health and dental screenings, blood pressure and HIV testing, glucose screens and more for children and adults.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Special Riding Camp is when volunteers come together to provide therapeutic horseback riding and camp experience to children with disabilities. Camp is 9 a.m. to noon everyday July 13 - 17. Volunteers are needed for side-walking, crafts, recreation and barn duty. ADVENTURE CLUB
Are you between the ages of 13 and 19? Do you like being outside and trying new and challenging activities? With enough interest, a 4-H Teen Adventure Club will be formed. The club would take trips for camping, hiking, canoeing, and whitewater rafting while learning about outdoors, team work, and natural resources. Interested?
