Nichols Gallery opens holiday show

Nichols Galleries in Barboursville will host an open house Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Landscape artist Frederick Nichols will give tours of his painting studio and printmaking workshop. Nichols Gallery Annex is featuring "Just Landscapes," an exhibition of paintings by more than 15 southern artists who invite us to slow down and look at a landscape we may be losing. Upstairs at the Annex, the gallery will be opening its holiday show, "Figures, Still Lifes, and Minatures" by gallery artists. Refreshments will be served at the Annex. Located in Barboursville, near the intersection of Routes 20 and 33 in Orange County, Nichols Galleries are open seven days a week by chance or appointment and Thursday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no admission fee.
