Four County Players is proud to present the classic musical, “Cabaret”, written by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb.
The scene is a night club in Berlin, Germany, as the 1920s are drawing to a close. The master of ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret.
The story follows the romance of an American writer named Cliff Bradshaw and an English cabaret performer named Sally Bowles.
Through some of the most beloved songs in musical theater, the audience witnesses their world changing.
A movie of the same name starring Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey was released in the early 1970s and won several Oscars.
This production is directed by Christopher N. Spangler, with musical direction by Greg Harris and choreography by Geri Carlson Sauls.
The cast features Dan Stern as the emcee, Stephanie Finn as Sally Bowles, Gary White as Cliff Bradshaw, Francis Deane as Herr Schultz, Linda C.
