FAMILY CRUSADE
Well-known evangelist Ricky Henson of Jonesboro, GA will be conducting a Family Crusade at Faith Bible Baptist Church, Unionville, from June 14-17. The Sunday services are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. with the weekday services beginning at 7 p.m. daily. "Tricky Ricky," as he is called, has been on such shows as Good Morning America, P.M. Magazine, News Around the World, Hour Magazine and America's Most Funniest People. He has held crusades all over the United States. LOW CHURCH VBS
It's time to register your children for vacation bible school to be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 15-19 at The Lake of the Woods Church. Children, age four by Sept. 30, through rising sixth graders are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is through June 14. This year we will be taking a Prayer Safari as the children learn the Lord's Prayer. Rising fifth and sixth graders will participate in Extreme VBS which will include group bible study, outdoor games, group projects and a final day of crazy activities and group fun! The children will present their closing program Sunday, June 21, at 11 a.m. in the worship center. Following this program, a lively walk through Africa will be presented, which includes food and activities from 12-2 p.m.
OPERATION SWORD AND SHIELD
Grace Baptist Church on Rt. 20 will be having vacation bible school June 15-19 from 10 a.m. to noon daily. The theme is "Operation Sword and Shield." Gordonsville Baptist Church will host vacation bible school for ages four through sixth grade Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to noon daily and adult vacation bible school June 15-17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. nightly. The theme for this year is "Boomerang Express." Hop on board Lifeway's Boomerang Express as VBS 2009 takes a train ride across the land down under. As kids wind their way through Australia, they'll discover the vastness of God's love, and they'll learn that no matter where they go or what they do in life--it all comes back to Jesus.
