GOOD NEWS CLUB
The Good News Club will meet at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School every first Thursday, October through March after school until 4:30 p.m. The club is open to students in kindergarten through fifth grade and is a free Bible-based club teaching Bible lessons, songs, crafts and games. FBB REVIVAL
The Bobby McGilliard Evangelistic Team will be conducting revival services at Faith Bible Baptist Church, Unionville, Nov. 2-6 and Nov. 8. The weeknight services are 7 p.m. and the Sunday services are 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 854-4286.

CHIP FOUNDER
SPEAKING
Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) founder Hans Diehl, Dr. Hsc, MPH, will be speaking at Trinity United Methodist Church, Orange, Nov. 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. Come early and enjoy a free soup supper from 5:30-6:30 p.m. prior to Diehl's presentation, "The CHIP Better Health Program: Changing Lives and Communities". JAM SESSION
Harmony FreeWill Baptist Church, Orange, is having a jam session Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Bring along your instrument to play and sing for the glory of the Lord, with refreshments to follow. For more information, call Pastor Paul E. Kirk at 854-8799.

LADIES NIGHT OUT
Unionville Christian Church will be hosting a ladies night out on Friday, Nov. 6 from 6-9 p.m. There will be representatives from Tupperware, Scentsy Candles, Pampered Chef, Lia Sophia Jewelry, Longaberger Baskets, Usborne Books, and more. There will be a silent auction and baked goods. Soup, bread and yummy desserts will be available for dinner. Bring your girlfriends, buy some Christmas gifts and share the wonderful food. FALL FESTIVAL
New Hope Baptist Church, Mine Run, will be hosting a fall festival Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a barbecue dinner served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (carryout's available). There will be a yard sale, bake sale, crafts, barrel train, bounce games, raffle items, police fingerprinting, face painting and the fire department will be present. FOOD DRIVE
Mechanicsville Baptist Church will sponsor a community food drive at Food Lion in Gordonsville on Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit Sheltering Arms located in Orange. Please bring nonperishable food items to this event to support this organization.

YOUTH TALENT SHOW
The Main Uno Baptist Church Building Fund Ministry will be having a talent program Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. Please come out and join us. For more information, call 672-4261.

CLOTHES DRIVE
The Blue Run Baptist Clothing Ministry, Somerset, will be hosting a clothes drive Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be winter clothes for all and a continental breakfast will be served.

FALL CONCERT
There will be a fall concert at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Orange on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. This program, which is free and open to the public, will feature the husband-wife team of Frank and Mary Ann Archer. Mr. Archer is an organist and Mrs. Archer plays the flute. The concert will feature the two manual, 24 rank Schantz pipe organ at St. Thomas Church. A reception in honor of the artists will follow.

CHORUS ANNIVERSARY
The Blue Run Baptist Church Gospel Chorus will be celebrating their fourth anniversary Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. The special guests will be "The Richmond Spirituals" from Richmond and the "Heavenly Lights" from Powhatan.

DEACON/
DEACONESS DAY
Emmanuel Baptist Church will have deacon and deaconess day Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. James Mack of Divine Life Ministries Church, Rapidan. Refreshments will be served.

ROCK HALL
ANNIVERSARY
Rock Hall Baptist Church will be celebrating 135 years Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. The Reverend Robert Strother of Thessalonians Baptist Church, Fork Union, will be the guest pastor. Rev. Clifford C. Waller is the pastor of Rock Hall.

GOSPEL SING
Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, Orange, will host a gospel sing Nov. 13 featuring the Shenandoah Baptist Boys. The program will begin at 6 p.m. with a covered dish dinner. RUMMAGE SALE
The Woman's Club of Orange will sponsor a fall rummage sale Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Orange. Items for sale will include clothing, jewelry, decorative pieces, household items, kitchen gadgets, baskets, vases, books, tapes, CDs, linens, toys and collectibles.

HOLIDAY BAKE SALE
On Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Cheerful Workers of Walker's United Methodist Church will hold a special holiday bake sale at the church. All proceeds from this sale are used to support the many ministries of this group, from outreach to both local and global missions to providing help and support for the homebound of the church. The Cheerful Workers is a United Methodist Women's group and has been active at Walker's UMC for several years. This sale offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase holiday baked treats at reasonable prices, including the Cheerful Workers' famous fruitcake. FALL FESTIVAL
Gordonsville Baptist Church is having their annual fall festival and Brunswick stew Saturday, Nov. 14. The doors will open at 10 a.m. with homemade Christmas ornaments and lots of miscellaneous handmade craft items and delicious homemade baked goods. There will also be a white elephant room. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. consisting of all-you-can-eat stew and trimmings including homemade cake or pie. The price for lunch is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

SPAGHETTI DINNER
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Barboursville, will be having its annual spaghetti dinner Nov. 14 5:30-7:30 p.m. The cost is $6 adult and $3 children. Anyone wishing to purchase advance tickets should contact Margaret at 832-3980 or Donna at 672-2720.

DAY OF CELEBRATION
The Drama and Praise Ministry of New Fellowship Christian Center will host a day of celebration in dance, mime and drama Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Orange Presbyterian Church, Orange. Featured guests will include Dr. Artie McGill, pastor of The Healing Christian Center Ministries of Brooklyn, NY; prophetess June Grayson and Talisa Davis of Tulsa, OK; and New Fellowship's mime, dance and drama teams. CHOIR ANNIVERSARY
The Anointed Voices of Union Baptist Church, Trevillians, will be celebrating their anniversary Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. Various local choirs will be special guests.

MPC DINNER
There will be a steak or pork chop dinner at Mitchells Presbyterian Church Nov. 14 from 5-7 p.m. The menu will include steak or grilled pork chops, vegetables, salad, dessert, bread, beverage, etc. The price is $12 for adults, $5 for children 7-12, and children 6 and under will eat free. CONCERT
Harmonheirs Southern Gospel group will perform a free concert at Trinity United Methodist Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

FUNDRAISER
A fundraiser worship service for the Ernest Terrell/Victoria Williams Scholarship Fund will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Orange, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Fred Sales accompanied by his choir from Rising Sun Baptist Church, Louisa. A repast will be held before the service.

MEN'S DAY
Union Baptist Church, Trevillians, will be celebrating men's day Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. Minister Prentiss Jeffcoat, associated minister of New Life Community Baptist Church, will be the guest preacher for the afternoon. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

YOUTH TALENT
SHOWCASE
Area youth are invited to showcase their talent in the second "The GOSPEL" Youth Talent Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m. at the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, Rixeyville. Youth may participate in any of the following categories: solo, duo/group, dance/step, spoken word or instrumentalists. Area youth choirs are encouraged to participate. Winners will be awarded trophies and medals as determined by local area judges. The registration fee is $10/per entry and applications must be received by Nov. 14. This event is sponsored by the Wayland Blue Ridge Association Youth Department.

PASTOR ANNIVERSARY
Nazareth Baptist Church will celebrate the fourth anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. Dr. Gene T. Lee, Nov. 22. The 11 a.m. guest preacher will be the Rev. Journey Beasley, associate minister at Elk Run Baptist Church, Madison. The 3 p.m. anniversary service guest preacher will be Rev. Jacob Phillips, pastor at White Oak Run Baptist Church, Rapidan.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
The Orange Circuit United Methodist Women will have their annual Christmas bazaar Nov. 28 at Salem UMC, located adjacent to the new Village Feed Farm Store (formerly known as Double B Farm) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ham biscuits will be available all day; lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Re-gifting store, crafts, baked goods and white elephant items will be sold.

PASTOR ANNIVERSARY
The Rev. Joseph Moore will celebrate his seventh anniversary as pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church during the 11 a.m. worship service Nov. 29. It will also be Women's Ministry Sunday and evangelist Yvonne Jackson of The Arms of the Lord Ministries Church will be the guest preacher. A repast will follow the service.

WEDS. NIGHT DINNER
Calvary Baptist Church, Monrovia Rd., is having Wednesday night dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by prayer meeting at 6:30 p.m. and Bible study at 7 p.m. A love offering of $2 per person or $5 per family is suggested.
