In participation with Virginia's Minds Wide Open first annual statewide celebration of women in the arts, the Morin Gallery at The Arts Center In Orange will explore the artistic evolution of traditional "women's work" with an exhibition of quilted, woven, dyed, stitched and sculpted works by area fiber artists entitled "Fabulous Fiber."
The exhibit, which runs March 4 - April 30, opens with a reception Thursday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m., with a gallery talk at 7:15. Music will be performed by Maia Oden, accompanied by Jasper Burns and Kimberly Ramberg.
Artists include: Mary Beth Bellah, Carole Dunn, Cynthia Harrison, Susan Haught, Colleen Jacobs, Chris Jacoby, Cindy Johnson, Astrid Kosko, Elizabeth Lay, Karin McElvein, Marty Moon, Lee Owsley, Heidi Ritz, Deborah Schupp, Pat Seeberger, Cyndi Souder and Cathy Tyler.
