NAACP chapters celebrate Dr. King at Little Zion

The Rev. Bruce S. Jones of First Baptist Church in Louisa delivered the sermon for the King celebration. He compared King to the Biblical figure Esther. "When faced with tough choices they both considered their responsibilities, counted the cost, and realized the time was now."

An annual ceremony to honor the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was held at Little Zion Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. The event was sponsored by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Committee, which was created several years ago by members of both the Orange and Madison County chapters of the NAACP.
