Orange County Economic Development Board Chairman Jim White defeated incumbent supervisor Zack Burkett and fellow challenger Art Magner for the District 2 Board of Supervisors seat. White collected 62 percent of the vote with 987 votes, to Burkett's 494 and Magner's 113.

In the evening's most hotly contested Orange County Board of Supervisors race, incumbent Teel Goodwin defeated challenger Will Likins to retain the District 3 Supervisor seat. The voting was split 60 to 40 percent, with Goodwin receiving 822 to Likins' 537.
Orange County voters overwhelmingly endorsed Mark Amos for a second term as sheriff.
Orange County's most populated district, District 5, also had the greatest voter turnout, as incumbent supervisor Lee Frame was elected to another term by defeating challenger Suzanne Brady. Frame's 1,646 votes were good enough for 70 percent of the votes. Brady collected 678 votes.
After months of waiting, Orange County voters finally had their chance to hit the polls Tuesday.

The Orange County Chamber of Commerce hosted its third and final candidate forum Monday night at the Lake of the Woods Community Center, featuring a debate between the District 5 candidates for board of supervisors and school board and also the candidates for sheriff and commonwealth's attorney.
Between the two of them, Orange County Treasurer Phyllis Yancey and commissioner of the revenue Donna Chewning have 55 years of experience and both are seeking reelection.
