Making connections between Bush, bin Laden

To the editor,
Are you ready for more of George Humphrey's "9/11, The Great Illusion?" If so, consider the following quotes, regarding the Bush/bin Laden family connection.
In 1979, the CIA initiated a massive program, of covert military aid, to indigenous Islamic tribes in Afghanistan, who were in opposition to the Russian military invasion of that country. The tribes, supported by the CIA, were called the "Mujahadeen" by the western press. Elements within the Mujahadeen later branched off to become al-Qaeda, again with full CIA support and funding.
The leader of al-Qaeda is a Saudi Arabian who had been educated in Europe, whose name is Osama bin Laden. It should also be noted that from the early 1980s, Osama bin Laden was a CIA asset, whose western cover name was Tim Osman.
The bin Laden family, and the Bush families, have been friends and business partners for many years. In 1977, George Bush, Jr. started Arbusto Energy Co., in Midland, Texas. One of his first and major investors was Salem bin Laden, the older brother of Osama bin Laden.
Another interesting connection is, Sheikh Kalid bin Mahfouz. Mahfouz is one of the richest men in the world, and was also a major investor in Arbusto Energy Co. Further, he was operational director of the corrupt BCCI between 1986 and 1990, as well as being a major contributor to Osama and al-Qaeda. One more little detail. Mahfouz's sister is Osama bin Laden's wife!
In 1998, al-Qaeda was involved in the bombing of the U.S. Embassies in Sudan and Yemen, which killed 35 Americans and 150 locals. Both Yemen and Sudan offered to extradite Osama bin Laden. However, Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, who was appointed by Bill Clinton, refused to take bin Laden!
