Congratulations to the Orange County Chamber of Commerce which celebrated its 85th anniversary last week at its annual awards banquet.
The Orange County Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1924 to advance the civic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural interests of the County of Orange, Virginia.
Today, it continues to promote the general welfare of our citizens and the prosperity of our county by developing a mutually beneficial network of local businesses and stimulating public support for our business community.
It was encouraging to see so many local businesses attend the event, even in these dire economic times. Some were longstanding local instutitions, while others were relative upstarts.
As businesses face unprecedented hardships, it’s critical they rely on the local resources available to help us all through these tough times.
The relationships and opportunties inherent in chamber membership and activities inexorably link our local businesses and industries in common purpose.
There is, after, all strength in numbers and the chamber has hundreds of members. In tough times, we know we can lean on our friends and neighbors.
We thank the chamber and its member businesses for their steadfast service and congratulate them on their first 85 years.
