Gordonsville Mayor Coiner elected to VML executive committee

At the 105th annual Virginia Municipal League Conference, held at the Hotel Roanoke Oct. 18 - 20, Gordonsville Mayor Bob Coiner was elected to the executive committee as chair of the town section.
The Virginia Municipal League is a statewide nonprofit association of city, town and county governments established in 1905 to improve and assist local governments through legislative advocacy, research, education and other services. The membership includes all 39 cities in the state, 156 towns and 11 counties. The executive committee governs the municipal league and provides overall guidance to the league staff.
Mayor Coiner also serves as vice chair of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission and is a member of the RRRC Executive Committee. The Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission consists of the county governments of Orange, Madison, Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock, and the town governments within these counties. The stated purpose of the regional commission is to encourage and facilitate local government cooperation and state-local cooperation in addressing regional problems.
Mayor Coiner is serving his second term as Mayor of Gordonsville, after being elected twice to town council.
