Angry at Orange Town Council

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

To the editor,
The Orange Town Council voted Monday night to limit the use of the community room at the Town of Orange Public Works Building. There will be no use of the facility by the community. It will be for council use only.
This 4 - 1 vote was made at a work session, not at a regular meeting. No one from the press was there, nor were any citizens of the town. This should have been done at a regular meeting so that some people might be heard.
People of Orange, you just lost the use of this facility that was designed to help seniors, local civic groups, etc. I hope you voted Tuesday. You certainly need to vote next May for council members who are community-oriented, not self-centered.
This vote/discussion should have been done in regular meeting. Our rights are being taken away at the national level, and now here in the Town of Orange.
