Only political letters from candidates next week

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

As we noted in this very space in the Sept. 15 issue, this is the final issue for supporter-written letters to the editor relating to the Nov. 8 general election.
Next week (Oct. 27 issue) is reserved for candidates to submit final letters in response to any letters that have already been submitted.
The final week prior to the election (Nov. 3 issue) offers a respite from the rhetoric and gives us the opportunity to tie up any election loose ends.
Now just because we’ve cut off voter letters the next couple weeks doesn’t mean we won’t have plenty of election information for our readers.
In fact, next week’s issue will feature a comprehensive election section with candidate questionnaires and vital voting information.
And, the Thursday prior to the election, we’ll remind everyone again about pertinent polling information and offer overviews and summaries of who and what is on their ballot Nov. 8.
While the most important thing we can all do Nov. 8 is vote, the most important thing we can do before then is to inform ourselves. Hopefully, we can help you with that.
