Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before Him, worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. -I Chronicles 16:20.
Emanuel Baptist Church celebrated its 99th year on Sunday, May 24 with the Rev. Fortune and his members of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Wilderness. Topic: “Great Expectations.“
Nazareth Baptist Church gives recognition to birthday people each month. Little Miss Tamera Davis is May 30. Rev. Lee suggested we give her a little celebration because Tamera has been coming to church since she was a month old and hasn’t missed many times. She also brings her friends to church with her when she has a sleepover. They celebrated her on Sunday with a little reception and more than 15 children attended, and also family. Rev. Lee did the beautiful decorations and her aunt Jane Ware did the food. Tamera turned eight years old.
The flower club of Nazareth also had a successful talent program held May 23. Mrs. Rosa Nixon-Cokley read a paper on “Don’t even think He can’t use you.“

God wants to use you to make a difference in His world. He wants to work through you. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it. You have no excuse for not getting involved and making a difference. God has uniquely shaped you for ministry:
Spiritual gifts
Heart
Abilities
Personality
Experience
Think you’re not capable of making a difference? You have too many flaws? Think again. Take these: Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was co-dependent, Rahab was immoral, David had an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was depressed, Jonah was reluctant, Naomi was a widow, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan women had several failed marriages, Zacchaeus was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid. Quite a variety of misfits, but God used each of them in his services. He will use you, too, if you stop making excuses.
