Orange County High School baseball season may be over, but the American Legion season is just beginning.
Again this summer, Orange Post 156 is sponsoring an American Legion senior and junior squad that will travel throughout the region and host home games at Paul Sizemore Memorial Field at Porterfield Park in Orange. Senior league home games are played at 7 p.m.
The senior squad is comprised of boys from Orange and surrounding counties, with many names, including Nick Bledsoe, D.J. Brown, Derek Justice, Trey Maupin, Evan Price, Corey Schmidt and Lazaro Torres, already familiar to Orange County baseball fans.
The junior squad is almost exclusively comprised of Orange players.
