The LOW Barracudas swam a competitive meet against Lee's Hill of Spotsylvania July 26, falling just short, 276-234.
Triple winners for the evening were siblings Laine and Drew Harrington and Corrinn Ford.
Erin Kreiter, a triple winner for the previous five meets of the season, earned two first places and one second for individual events.
Other strong performances came in from Kaitlyn Johnson and Kristen Cook, with two first place finishes each.
In the 100 meter freestyle, 12 and under girls, Kaitlyn Johnson and Jaimie Dodson earned second and third, while Kristen Cook and Theresa Bulik took first and third in 13-18. Corey Kreiter earned second for the 13-18 boys, while Ernest Eclipse took fourth for the 12 and under group.
For the 100 meter freestyle relay, the 8 and under age group earned second-place finishes for both girls and boys. Genna Blake, Isabella Copeland, MaryHelen Getty, and Corrinn Ford made up the girls team; boys team members were Nico Balk, Christopher Stanton, Hayden Abbott, and Drew Harrington. The 9-10 age groups had first place wins from Devynne Lockhart, Gabrielle Crowe, Kiana Jeffries, Laine Harrington, Loagan McDonald, Keegan Kelson, Luke Wilson, and Paul Wilson. Girls in the 11-12 age group earning firsts included Kaitlyn Flecker, Riley Yetter, Sarah Horwath, and Kaitlyn Johnson. Boys earning second were Ace Copeland, Foster Browning, Sean Bush, and Ernest Eclipse. The 13-14 year olds earning second place finishes included: Jonathan Fairhurst, Julian Ciskanik, Ryan Johnson, and Tanner Kelson as well as Mallory Davis, Kala Curtis, Hayley Gunnett, and Erin Kreiter. Girls in the 13-18 range taking seconds and thirds were Dani Amoruso, Taylor Kendall, Amber Breeden, Kristen Cook and Lindsay Cook, Rachael Roberts, Alexa Eclipse, and Theresa Bulik. The 13-18 boys came in second with Kyle Hayes, Elliott Fairhurst, Cory Gunnett and Corey Kreiter.
In the 6 and under 25 meter free, boys took first through third with Adam Boukhari, Parker Ford and Skylar Rudd. Corrinn Ford came in first for the 8 and under girls, while Hayden Abbott earned third for the boys. The 9-10 year olds earned first place with Laine Harrington and Paul Wilson. Luke Wilson followed with second.
The girls 11-12 50 meter freestyle found first and third place finishes for Kaitlyn Johnson and Jacelynn Gray. Erin Kreiter earned second for 13-14 year old girls, while Jonathan Fairhurst took second for the boys. For the 15-18 year olds, Lindsay Cook took third for the girls, while Corey Kreiter and Kyle Hayes earned second and third, respectively.
The 8 and under 25 meter butterfly was won by both Corrinn Ford and Drew Harrington. The 9-10 year olds also came in first with Laine Harrington and Luke Wilson. Devynne Lockhart came in second for the girls. The 11-12 year old girls came in second and third with Sarah Horwath and Jacelynn Gray, boys earning first and third were Ernest Eclipse and Sean Bush. For 13-14 year olds, Erin Kreiter came in first and Tanner Kelson got second. Kristen Cook and Dani Amoruso earned first and third for the 15-18 year olds, Corey Kreiter got second.
The 25 meter backstroke found top finishes for the 8 and unders with Corrinn Ford and Drew Harrington. Hayden Abbott came in third for the boys. Gabrille Crowe and Kelly Williams got first and second for the 9-10 girls, Luke Wilson took second for the boys. Jaimie Dodson and Sarah Horwath earned first and third for the 11-12 girls in this event. For the 13-14 year olds, Erin Kreiter came in first, Tanner Kelson and Jonathan Fairhurst came in second and third. Kristen Cook and Cory Gunnett each earned second for the 15-18 year olds, Matt O'Donnell came in third.
The 8 and under 25 meter breastroke featured a first place for Drew Harrington and second place for MaryHelen Getty. Laine Harrington earned first for the 9-10 girls, while Logan McDonald and Max Yetter took second and third. Kaitlyn Johnson and Sarah Horwath came in first and third for the 11-12 girls, Caleb Enriquez and Ernest Eclipse got second and third. Mallory Davis and Rebekah Roberts came in second and third for the 13-14 girls, Julian Ciskanik got second for the boys. Finally in the 15-18 age group, Dani Amoruso earned first place, Cory Gunnett and Elliott Fairhurst came in second and third.
The 12 and under 100 meter IM featured a first-place finish for Sean Bush. Girls Jaimie Dodson and Zahra Boukhari got second and third. For 13-18 year olds, Lindsay Cook and Cory Gunnett each came in second, Kyle Hayes got third.
The 100 meter medley relay featured a first place finish for both of the 12 and under teams, made up of Jaimie Dodson, Kaitlyn Flecker, Laine Harrington, and Kaitlyn Johnson and Ernest Eclipse, Sean Bush, Foster Browning and Paul Wilson. The girls team of Kayla McDonald, Zahra Boukhari, Sarah Horwath, and Riley Yetter earned third. The 13-18 year olds came in second with Kristen Cook, Dani Amoruso, Erin Kreiter and Taylor Kendall and Cory Gunnett, Kulian Ciskanik, Corey Kreiter and Kyle Hayes.
The final event of the evening, the 125 meter freestlye relay, ended with a first place finish for the boys and second place for the girls.
Rappahannock Swim League finals will take place at the King George YMCA on Saturday, Aug. 7.
