The combined East Orange/Gordonsville Little League All-Star team continued its successful post-season run in the state tournament in Front Royal. The local all-stars (District 14 champions) opened the tournament last week with an impressive win over Haysi before losing to Elkton in Saturday's oppressive heat. Sunday, the Orange County stars opened with a win over Washington County and continued with a win over Green Run on a hot Sunday afternoon. Monday, the boys face Dumfries Triangle Quantico. The tournament started out with 15 districts and is currently down to six, including the local contingent. The tournament concludes Thursday. Team members include: Reuel Alexander, Jackson Wolfrey, Trevor Coleman, Michael Yager, Colston Bayless, Trenton Middlebrook, Noah Smith, Garret Johnson, Antonio Murphy, Caleb Kindred, Zach Brooks, Wyatt Ferguson, Cody Fulcher. The team is coached by Chris Smith and Mark Brooks and managed by Richard Schmidt.
